AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Na red za svjetsko lansiranje dolazi i drugi gamerski AMD-ov procesor iz serije 7000. Nakon Ryzena 9 7950X3D, dolazi nam povoljniji Ryzen 7 7800X3D koji također donosi 3D V-cache memoriju koja ubrzava performanse u igrama. Procesor je u osnovi vrlo sličan Ryzenu 7 7700X, ima 8C/16T konfiguraciju, no uz 3D V-cache donosi puno više priručne memorije, čak 104 MB.
AMD na sličan način pakira sve svoje nove procesore pa ni ovaj nije iznimka. Naravno, svi modeli s višim TDP-om nemaju tvornički hladnjak, a preporuka je moćan zračni ili minimalno 280-milimetarski AIO. Ono što ovaj procesor odmah izdvaja od ostatka društva je 3D V-Cache Technology natpis na kutiji pri čemu je odmah jasno da je ovo posebna zvjerčica.
Unutar kutije procesor je smješten u blister pakiranje i uz njega dolazi samo jedna naljepnica, instalacijske upute i Red Team pamflet s QR kodom za priključivanje online AMD zajednici. U videu vidimo i montažu na testnu ploču koja je bila moćna ASUS-ova Crosshair X670E Hero, zajedno s G.Skillovom memorijom, ADATA diskom i Radeonom RX 7900 XT. U testu smo kao što će te vidjeti koristili druge dvije grafičke kartice radi usporedbe s ostatkom ranije testiranih procesora.
AMD je kao što znamo krajem veljače predstavio tri nova 3D V-Cache procesora bazirana na Zen 4 arhitekturi - 7950X3D, 7900X3D i 7800X3D. Prvi smo testirali tada, a sada na red dolazi ovaj najslabiji model. 7800X3D nasljeđuje iznimno cijenjeni model 5800X3D koji se još uvijek nalazi na top listama najprodavanijih procesora. Taj smo procesor testirali u sklopu Računala.hr konfiguracije i bili vrlo zadovoljni performansama. Sada AMD 3D V-Cache tehnologiju nudi širem krugu kupaca s tri modela.
X3D procesori su specifični po činjenici da imaju 3D V-Cache memoriju koja podrazumijeva vertikalno postavljenu priručnu memoriju na sredinu jezgre procesora kojoj je s lijeve i desne strane pridodan strukturalni silicij kako bi se kompenzirala visina. Tako danas testirani 7800X3D procesor ima 104 MB priručne memorije, što je čak 64 MB više nego kod 7700X modela.
Ovaj procesor ima samo jedan core complex (CCX) i na njemu je 3D V-Cache, za razliku od 7950X3D koji ima dva CCX-a i samo na jednom 3D V-Cache memoriju. Zbog toga bi i kompatibilnost mogla biti malo bolja nego s 7950X3D koji je pokazao određene manjkavosti takve arhitekture.
Da bi 3D V-Cache radio kako treba potrebno je instalirati i optimizacijske upravljačke programe , tj. AMD PPM i Performance Optimizer Driver.
3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer Driver prati performanse u realnom vremenu i dinamički modificiraju preferirane jezgre koje se koriste unutar Windows OS-a prema tome treba li programu 3D V-Cache ili ne, pa se koristi 3D V-Cache CCX ili onaj standardni. PPM ili Provisioning File Driver služi za dinamičko isključivanje CCX-a bez 3D V-Cache memorije kada detektira pokretanje igre. Tako igra koristi samo onaj brži CCX što smanjuje latencije i povećava framerate. Osim instalacije drivera, svaki će korisnik morati proći i određenu proceduru kako bi se čim više optimizirao rad procesora, što malo komplicira stvari - nije plug`n`play.

Način testiranja
Testirali smo na ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero matičnoj ploči, a uz pomoć G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N memorije, Sapphire Radoen RX 6750 XT Nitro + i Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming OC grafičkih kartica i ostalog već poznatog hardvera kojeg možete vidjeti u tablici. Procesor je hlađen moćnim Alphacoolovim Eisbaer Aurora LT360 HPE hladnjakom čiju ste recnziju mogli čitati. Kod Zen 4 serije je vrlo bitno imati moćan hladnjak za izvlačenje visokih performansi. Testovi su kao i do sada uobičajena mješavina između sintetike, CPU benchmarka i grafičkih benchmarka. Iskoristili smo ranije dobivene rezultate i grafove. Kao i do sada, testirali smo i potrošnje te zagrijavanje. Testirali smo na Windows 11 operativnom sustavu. Overclocking Procesor smo overclockirali iz UEFI sučelja uključivanjem PBO Enhanced postavke i podešavanjem višeg praga maksimalne temperature. Porast performansi je bio vidljiv, no ne i dovoljo visok da bi radili zasebne grafove. U svim je benchmarcima riječ o 1 do 2% povećanja performansi što je gotovo zanemarivo. Za 1.000 bodova niži rezultat od 7700X procesora pokazuje na koliko nižim taktovim zapravo radi 7800X3D pa će biti zanimljivo vidjeti ostatak CPU testova.

Oštrica mu ne otupljuje ni s prijelazom na višu rezoluciju gdje se drži blizu 7950X3D-a ili ga u nekim naslovima opet nadmašuje. S obzirom na to da je jeftiniji za 250 USD, dvojbe nema - 7800X3D je najbolja kupnja za igranje u ovom trenutku.

Ryzeni 5 i 7 kaskaju u memorijskim Read i Copy performansama za Ryzenima 9 pa je takav slučaj i ovdje. Latencija je solidna i u rangu sa 7950X3D procesorom.

Potrošnja sistema je kao što vidimo 40 W niža nego sa 7700X procesorom što je zapravo odlično. Jasno, performanse procesora su slabije, no zato je 7800X3D puno bolji za igranje.

Temperatura se zadržava na solidnih 87,2°C, a uz to ni ventilatori na hladnjaku ne rade na maksimumu pa sustav nije ni bučan.
Zaključak
S preporučenom cijenom od 449 USD (+ PDV i kolika već marža bude u Hrvatskoj) ovo je idealan gaming procesor. Svi koji tražite procesor koji će izvući maksimum iz vaše grafičke kartice, bilo da je ona srednjeg ili višeg tržišnog razreda, ne morate dalje tražiti. Njegovih osam jezgara (16 threadova) je dovoljno za sve igre današnjice, a vjerojatno i one koje dolaze u budućnosti, te donose i sasvim solidne generalne performanse. Jasno, ako vam je bitno da procesor i brzo renderira ili obrađuje video materijal posegnite za jačim, premda realno jače od ovoga većini ni ne treba.
S druge strane dobivate procesor koji je iznimno moćan u igrama i koji će izvući sve što grafika može dati. Nije pretjerani potrošač, ne zahtijeva najmoćnija hlađenja i samim time cijela platforma ne mora biti iznimno skupa. Ako ste igrač, pa čak i natjecatelj, dalje od ovoga ne morate ići. Odličan nasljednik 5800X3D procesora koji će vjerujemo u budućnosti zauzimati prva mjesta po prodaji, baš kao što ih prethodnik zauzima sada.
