NUC 14 Pro

Pred nama je danas novi Asusov MiniPC iz NUC serije. Riječ je o modelu NUC14RVH koji dolazi u Pro izvedbi. Opremljen je s Intel Core Ultra 7 165H procesorom, 16 GB DDR5 radne memorije, 1 TB SSD-om i uobičajenim mrežnim kontrolerima - WiFi 6E i 2,5 Gbps LAN. Uz to, ima i vrlo dobre ulazno izlazne mogućnosti s dva 10 Gbps USB-A i jednim 20 Gbps USB-C portom, dva HDMI-a te još dva USB-C porta preko Thunderbolt 4 kontrolera. U videu otpakiranja mogli ste vidjeti kako je pakiran, zaštićen i što sve dolazi uz njega. U prvom redu, tu je napojni adapter snage 90 W, a uz njega dolaze i nosač za montažu na monitor (VESA), vijci i kratke upute. Osim što dolazi s tri godine jamstva, zanimljiv podatak je i kako su NUC računala projektirana za stabilan 24/7 rad u poslovanju, Edge i IoT primjeni, retailu, ili pak edukaciji.

NUC 14 Pro dolazi u dvije izvedbe - Slim i Tall, a mi na testu imamo potonju. Riječ je o nasljedniku modela NUC 13 Pro, a donosi novu Intelovu platformu s Core Ultra procesorima.  Ako niste do sada upoznati, NUC je kratica za Next Unit of Computing, a originalno je riječ o Intelovim proizvodima. Asus je krajem prošle godine preuzeo proizvodnju NUC računala o čemu smo i izvijestili. Ova nova, 14. generacija je ujedno i prva koja donosi prave AI mogućnosti, jer koristi 14. generaciju Intelovih Core procesora koji kao što znamo imaju integrirani NPU.

Kućište "Tall" NUC-a 14 Pro je dimenzija 117 x 112 x 54 milimetra i zapremine je 0,7 litara. Samo za usporedbu, "Slim" varijanta je 0,48 litara. Kućište je plastično, a metalna je unutarnja šasija i donji poklopac. Masa testnog modela je bila 570 grama. Na bokovima je perforirano za protok zraka, a straga se nalazi rešetka za ispuh. Na prednjoj se stranici nalazi Power tipka koja je osvijetljena, dva USB-A 10 Gbps porta, i jedan USB-C 20 GBps port. Na dnu je HDMI naljepnica koja je očito uvjetovana od strane HDMI Foundersa.

Straga se nalazi već spomenuta rešetka ispuha, a ispod su I/O portovi. Nalazimo dva Thunderbolt 4 USB-C porta, jedan 2,5-gigabitni LAN port (RJ45), dva HDMI 2.1 (TDMS) porta, jedan USB-A 2.0 i jedan USB-A 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1). Desno od rešetke se nalazi i navoj za vijak za organizator kabela, a ispod njega je i ulaz za napajanje. Napajanje je vanjski AC/DC adapter snage 90 W. Poklopac s vijcima na dnu služi za umetanje 2,5-inčnih SATA diskova. Ukloniti ga se može samo s unutarnje strane.

S donje se strane NUC-a nalazi poklopac koji ima i mehanizam za zaključavanje i sigurnosni mehanizam za odvajanje istoga. Ispod se nalazi pristup slotovima radne memorije, kao i M.2 slotu, te M-key slotu. S unutarnje strane poklopca se nalazi i ležište za 2,5-inčni SATA disk koji je moguće dodatno ugraditi. Kao što vidimo, metalni poklopac na sebi ima i termalne podloške te služi i kao hladnjak za M.2 SSD.

Naš je primjerak NUC-a došao opremljen s SKHynixovom DDR5 SODIMM radnom memorijom ukupnog kapaciteta 16 GB i brzine 5600 MT/s. M.2 SSD je Samsungov PM91a kapaciteta 512 GB. S gornje se strane ploče nalazi Intelov Core Ultra 7 165H procesor s vPro opcijom. Osim njega, Asus u NUC 14 ugrađuje i Ultra 7 155H, Ultra 5 135H, Ultra 5 125H i Core 3 100U procesore. Nama je na test tako stigao najjači model, koji kao što znamo ima i integriranu Arc grafiku, kao i NPU, tj. tj. Neural Processing Unit koji Intel zove AI Boost. NPU donosi podršku za Sparsity te Windows Studio Effects. Kod Windowsa 11 se AI funkcije mogu iskoristiti uz Copilot, Paint, Snipping tool, Photos i Clipchamp.

Ultra 7 165H procesor ima 6 P-jezgri i 8 E-jezgri, te dvije Low Power E-jezgre. P-jezgre podržavaju Hyper Threading, pa procesor može paralelno obraditi 22 threada. Maksimalna Turbo frekvencija je 5 GHz za P-jezgre, 3,8 GHz za E-jezgre, te 2,5 GHz za LP E-jezgre. Osnovni radni taktovi su 1,4 GHz, 900 MHz i 700 MHz. Procesor ukupno ima 24 MB Smart Cache priručne memorije. Osnovni TDP mu je 28 W, a maksimalni 115 W. Grafička jezgra radi na najviših 2,3 GHz, a NPU na 1,4 GHz. Procesor podržava i vPro Enterprise set tehnologija.

Ostatak platforme je poprilično standardan. U NUC-u se nalazi Intelova AX211 WiFi 6E kontroler (2x2), s podrškom za Bluetooth 5,3 protokol. Antene su interne, a prijam signala je samo prosječan. Primjerice, veza koju je ostvarivao jednu etažu iznad routera je bila 432/29 Mbps, a računalo koje se nalazilo odmah pored s tom istom karticom ali s vanjskom antenom je ostvarivalo vezu od 576/288 Mbps. Stoga, ili NUC mora biti bliže routeru ili ga je potrebno povezati putem LAN-a. Za to je zadužen Intelov I226V kontrolera koji ima podršku za 2,5-gigabita, kao i vPro funkcije. Zvuk se prenosi putem HDMI portova. Računala dolaze bez operativnog sustava a podržavaju Windowse 11 i različite Linux distribucije.

SSD performanse

Zagrijavanje i buka

Procesor hladi maleni bakreni hladnjak s ventilatorom koji se poprilično čuje te smo na maksimumu izmjerili 45,4 dB(A) na udaljenosti od oko 30 centimetara. Procesor se inicijalno zagrijava do 101°C nakon čega padaju taktovi i temperatura na prosječnih 80-tak °C. Ostali senzori pokazuju oko 105°C za CPU VRM, 70°C za senzor na matičnoj ploči, 55,25°C za memoriju, 48°C za SSD itd. Maleno računalo je sasvim solidnih performansi, ali mora se računati na povišeno zagrijavanje i dosta čujni rad ventilatora. Ukupna potrošnja sistema se kreće oko 93 W, pri čemu se AC/DC adapter dosta zagrijava, te smo izmjerili vanjsku temperaturu od 58°C infracrvenim termometrom.

Asus nastavlja tradiciju izrade NUC-ova na najbolji mogući način. Ovo je samo jedna od mnogobrojnih izvedbi, uključujući i one atraktivne poput ROG verzija. NUC 14 Pro je solidan radni stroj, zadovoljavajuće visokih performansi koje nadilaze potrebe klasičnog uredskog posla. S ovim možete obraditi i video materijal, fotografije ili odrediti kakvo renderiranje bez ikakvog straha. NUC nudi i izvrsne I/O mogućnosti s tri Type C porta, dva HDMI-a itd. Ultra 7 165H procesor donosi i vPro tehnologije pa je računalo pogodno za poslovnu primjenu, a jedina realna zamjerka ide na malo povišenu buku rashladnog sistema. Ovako konfigurirano računalo NUC 14 Pro će vas u njemačkim trgovinama koštati oko 1.100 € što je popriličan iznos, no zbog niše koju pokriva te visokih performansi i sasvim opravdan. Naravno, ovdje je riječ o top modelu, a treba znati da se model s Ultra 5 135H može nabaviti za oko 780 €, a onaj s Ultra 5 125H procesorom za 512 €.
