Vrlo zreli i apsolutno stabilni Catalyst driveri u verziji 7.1/7.2 u potpunosti zadovoljavaju sva očekivanja i ispiru gorak okus u ustima na prijašnje trome, bugovite i nestabilne verzije ovog komada softvera.

Conclusion

Final decision wether to embrace Windows Vista rests in your hands, dear readers. Probably best choice for playing around and experimenting with new operating system is dual boot which always gives you opportunity of switching to a more reliable and proven Windows XP. Keep in mind though that Vista comes in different flavours and not all of them have same hardware requirements. Without 2 GB of main memory don’t expect miracles with versions Home Premium or Ultimate. On the other hand, if your have high performance PC there are not many reasons to avoid Windows Vista. This goes especially for owners of ATI graphics cards. It would really be a shame not to see very smooth operation of Catalyst Control Center under Windows Vista, especially if you were frustrated with performanse of older versions of this tool on Windows XP. Very mature and 100% stable Catalyst drivers, revision 7.1 and 7.2, have fulfilled our expectations and washed away most of spite we had towards older versions of this software. If AMD/ATI continues developing and upgrading its drivers and tools in this manner, they will be certainly be a great asset to upcoming new DX10 GPU codenamed R600 which is slated for launch in 1H 2007.
