Zaključak

Na početku zaključka ovoga članka ćemo se osvrnuti na Foxconnovu A9DA-S ploču.
Solidan i nepretenciozan je to proizvod koji će zadovoljiti prosječnog kupca
i ljubitelja AMD-ovih procesora. U odnosu na druge, opremljenije ali i skuplje
modele donosi manje opreme i značajki te slabiji overclocking potencijal. Kada
smo spomenuli cijenu, recimo da je ova ploča na Njemačkom tržištu (u Hrvatskoj
se još ne prodaje) za oko 15-20 € jeftinija od Gigabyteove. Samo za informaciju
reći ćemo i da je Asusova M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 narednih 20 € skuplja od Gigabyteove.
A9DA-S nudi solidnu izradu, solidne komponente i više nego solidne mogućnosti.
Još da podržava USB 3.0 bila bi idealna za prosječnom korisnika u nardenih dvije-tri
godine. Ovako, ukoliko nabavite ovu ploču USB3.0 podršku će te morati tražiti
preko neke dodatne add-in kartice. Ukoliko ste overclocker nećete u potpunosti
biti oduševljeni njenim mogućnostima, no ipak na kraju moramo priznati kako
i ne zaostaje toliko za konkurencijom kada ju se nagazi visokim naponima. Svakako
preporuka ukoliko nise zagriženi overclocker ili vam izričito smeta nedostatak
USB3.0 podrške.

Gigabyteova 890GPA-UD3H ploča je definitivno najbolja AMD ploča koju smo imali
prilike probati u zadnjih par godina. Za fer cijenu, donosi mnoštvo mogućnosti
i opreme, a uz to je i odličan overclocker. Premda gubi na maksimalnom FSB taktu
od Asusice, generalno je malo sposobnija natjerati našeg Phenoma na veći takt.
Uz to ima i odlične performanse i u gotovo svim testovima je na prvom mjestu.
Asusica ima kvalitetniji softver, malo bolju opremu te malo bolji OC potencijal
(FSB) ali je trenutno i preko 200 kuna skuplja od Gigabyteice. Uz to, Asusici
ne možemo oprostiti niti probleme sa memorijom. Ono što nam je svakako zasmetalo
kod 890GPA, baš kao i kod Foxconnove ploče je nemogućnost korištenja ACC-a i
time otključavanja viška jezgara na pogodnim X2 procesorima. Vjerujemo kako
je stvar u BIOS-u i da će u narednim revizijama to biti riješeno. S druge strane,
Gigabyte je na istu površinu PCB-a nakrcao znatno više značajki pa tako ploča
nudi i starije legacy portove, ali i čak 8 SATA portova što će zadovoljiti i
najprobirljivije. Na kraju, ipak ostajemo pri tome da je ploča u potpunosti
zadovoljila i da je apsolutno prvi izbor između tri do sada testirane 890GX
ploče. Na hrvatskom ju se tržištu može nabaviti za oko 950 kuna sa PDV-om, dok
Asusova košta između 1.150 i 2.000 kuna sa PDV-om.

 

Conclusion

Firstly, we will look back on Foxconn`s board. This board is a solid and unpretentious
product, which will satisfy all needs of an average user. In comparison with
other tested boards, it brings a lot less features and weaker overclocking potential,
but it is also cheaper. In EU Gigabyte`s model will cost you some 10-15 € more
(Asus board is even 20 € more than Gigabyte`s). A9DA-S brings good build quality
along with good capabilities for a fair price. If it only had a USB3.0 support,
average user wouldn’t have to think of anything else in the next 2-3 years.
This way, if u buy this board you will have to consider some add-in USB3.0 card.
From the overclockers point of view it is not the first pick, BIOS options are
weak and overall result is not so great (FSB wise). On the other hand, if you
push it with higher voltage, end result is good and if falls just about 150MHz
behind Gigabyte`s model in CPU overclocking. If u don’t mind lesser OC capabilities
or the lack of USB3.0 support this will be a good board for u.

On the other hand, GA-890UD3H is by far the best AMD motherboard we tested
in several years. For a fair price, it offers a lot of features and it is a
great overclocker too. Although it loses in max. FSB over M4A89GTD PRO/USB3,
it can still push our Phenom II X4 955 a bit further to a stabile 4GHz. With
that it has a great overall performance and it top almost all of our tests.
M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 does have a better software package, does reach to a bit higher
FSB and is a bit better equipped but it is also 25-30 € pricier on Croatian
market. And we can’t forget the memory compatibility issues we had with it.
Biggest fault of 890GPA-UD3H (A9DA-S also) is the lack of ACC which enables
us to unlock extra cores on X2 CPU`s that are able. Hopefully, new BIOS revision
can sort it out. On the better side, this board is just loaded with features.
It has 3x PCIe x1 ports, 8x SATA ports, 3x Firewire ports, dual BIOS, USB3.0
and SATA3.0 support just to name a few and even legacy ports like Floppy and
IDE. With all that on PCB, layout stays clean and without any faults. In the
end, this board has definitely won us over and is the first choice among the
three 890GX boards we have tested so far.
