TerraTec supports the MAC

Leading German sound card manufacturer TerraTec builds further upon its
strong standing in the sound and pro- audio market, by supporting from
August all “4G Sound” cards with drivers for both Macintosh’s operating
systems, Os-X and Os 9. Drivers will be online at that time

TerraTec established the 4th generation in sound (4G Sound) by providing
uncompromising 24 Bit and 96 kHz resolution sound systems, covering the
demands of advanced consumer as well as the requirements of discerning
professionals like the EWX 24/96, DMX 6fire 24/96, DMX 6fire LT, EWS88 D,
EWS88 MT or EWS MIC2/8. By developing true 24bit/96 kHz cards for almost 4
years, by taking care of the details and customers’ demands, TerraTec has
managed to become a major player in the sound market.
All TerraTec sound cards based on the powerful EWS Engine chipset are now
also supporting both leading Apple Macintosh’s operating systems, Os-X and
Os 9. From the entry-level soundcard up to high-end studio solutions,
TerraTec’s “4G Sound” cards are now also open to users of Macintosh systems.
TerraTec considers this release to be one step further on their successful
way to match customers’ demands and bring their innovative and highly
awarded technology to another segment of the market.

Cameo Drive! External housing for additional storage.

TerraTec’s renowned Cameo video editing product line is expanding with the
Cameo Drive!-a handy housing for additional storage. By nature, video
editing has extreme storage requirements which can cause you to run out of
space on your PC’s integrated hard disk in no time. The TerraTec Cameo
Drive! is an external hard disk housing with a FireWireTM interface designed
for standard 3.5″ hard disks or other IDE storage devices such as ZIP or MO
drives. While this extremely useful option has been optimized for TerraTec’s
award-winning Cameo 200 DV, Cameo 400 DV and Cameo 600 DV video editing
solutions, it can also be used with other FireWire boards. Cameo Drive! will
be available in August.
The Cameo Drive! features the latest FireWireT and bridging technology. This
allows for data transfer rates of up to 50 MBps. Its truly hot-pluggable
feature allows the connection of Cameo Drive! while the system is running.
Up to 63 FireWireT devices can be operated via 2 FireWireT ports. The hard
disk is installed in no time at all. Simply insert the drive into the Cameo
Drive! and connect it with the PC via FireWireT interface-you can
immediately use your data like an internal hard disk drive. The required
cable and AC adapter are included. The Cameo Drive! is also useful as an
external hard disk for mobile use with notebooks.
