Armorica je pokazala solidan overclocking potencijal s porastom od 7.85%, a kod Gaming Z je to oko 7.2% u odnosu na tvorničke performanse. Uz to, zanimljivo je primijetiti i kako je overclockirana Gaming Z u prosjeku brža od overclockirane Armorice za 5.15%. Ako pak pogledamo ukupnu “razliku potencijala”, između neoverclockirane Armorice i overclockirane Gaming Z ona je impresivnih 13.4%. RTX 2070 ovime dokazuje kako je pun pogodak. Uz to, potrošnja nije rasla drastično.

Gaming Z je i u 4K gamingu nešto brža od Armorice, no i dalje to nisu performanse za gladak gaming, barem u dva zahtjevnija naslova.

RTX 2070 kartice nisu veliki potrošači i sistem s Gaming Z troši oko 28 W više, no dodatne performanse to opravdavaju.

TU106 je na Gaming Z brz i radi često i iznad 1.900 MHz, pa je jasno i da se zagrijava nešto više. Maksimalna izmjerena temperatura je bila 71°C, a maksimalni broj okretaja pri tome nešto iznad 1.300. Pri tim su okretajima ventilatori i dalje vrlo tihi i buka ne prelazi sasvim ugodnih 47 dB. Temperatura se prilikom overclockinga podigla samo za 1°C, a ventilatori su se zavrtjeli do oko 1.500 okretaja uz porast buke na i dalje tihih 48 dB.
