Test – Ryzen 5 3600X, brzina memorije i gaming

Zanimalo nas je koliko su novi Ryzeni treće generacije osjetljivi na brzinu memorije i je li baš nužno odabrati najbržu memoriju za više performanse kod igranja. Testirali smo s procesorom srednjeg tržišnog razreda, dostupnijeg širim masama, Ryzenom 5 3600X, s RX 5700 XT karticom i G.Skillovom Royal Trident Z kitom kojem smo mijenjali brzinu i latencije. Testove smo napravili na dvije popularne rezolucije, a u par testova smo provjerili i kako variraju CPU performanse s brzinom memorije.

Ryzen 5 3600X, brzina memorije i gaming

Zanimalo nas je koliko su novi Ryzeni treće generacije osjetljivi na brzinu memorije i je li baš nužno odabrati najbržu memoriju za više performanse kod igranja. Testirali smo s procesorom srednjeg tržišnog razreda, dostupnijeg širim masama, Ryzenom 5 3600X, s RX 5700 XT karticom i G.Skillovom Royal Trident Z kitom kojem smo mijenjali brzinu i latencije. Testove smo napravili na dvije popularne rezolucije, a u par testova smo provjerili i kako variraju CPU performanse s brzinom memorije. Ryzen 5 3600X je kao što znamo šest jezgreni procesor s podrškom za SMT, pa paralelno može izvršavati 12 threadova. Osnovni takt mu je 3.8 GHz, a boost takt za dvije jezgre 4.4 GHz. Ima 32 MB L3 memorije, 95 W TDP i drži cijenu od oko 2.000 kuna. Kao što smo iz njegove recenzije vidjeli, odličan je to mainstream procesor za šaroliku upotrebu, od gaminga do višezadaćnog rada. Bolja kupovina od njega bi tek mogao biti njegov jeftiniji brat Ryzen 5 3600.

Za potrebe smo ovoga testa koristili Asusovu Crosshair VIII Hero ploču, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT grafičku karticu, spomenuti Ryzen 5 3600X i ono najbitnije memoriju kojoj smo mijenjali vrijednosti – G.Skillovu Trident Z Royal F4-3600C16D-16GTRG. Za početak smo latencije ostavili na CL16, tj. iste one kakve su u XMP profilu kita, i mijenjali brzinu. Jedino značajnije odstupanje koje smo ovdje primijetili je bilo na brzini od 3.000 MHz (i to samo u pojedinim naslovima), a sve iznad toga se može svesti u statističku pogrešku. Drugi test je uključio i promjenu latencija. Na 3.200 MHz smo ih malo stegnuli na CL14-14-14-32-CR1, a na 4.200 MHz malo opustili na CL18-17-17-40-CR1. Ovdje smo ponovili identičan postupak kao kod prethodnog testa, ali na višoj rezoluciji i razlike su ponovno minimalne. Zaključak koji ovdje izvlačimo je da je Ryzenu 3600X u kombinaciji s Radeonom RX 5700XT potpuno svejedno koji se memorijski kit koristi, tj. daje jednake performanse na različitim latencijama i brzinama memorije. I ovdje je vidljivo da su odstupanja minimalna, i svode se na razlike od maksimalno 1.35%, a tako je i u drugim CPU testovima. Zaključak je dakle da ne morate nužno nabavljati novu radnu memoriju s novim Ryzenima, dobro će poslužiti i kakav stariji DDR4 kit brzine 3.200 MHz i latencija C15 ili C16 kakvi su najčešći. Ako ipak nabavljate novi kit uz novu ploču i Ryzena tada je sweet spot 3.600 MHz i C16, jer je vrijeme pristupa memoriji najmanje (najčešće ispod 70 ns) zbog dobrog odnosa UCLK (frekvencija memorijskog kontrolera) i FCLK (frekvencija infinity fabrica) taktova.
