S17 pokazuje kako je tek mrvicu bolji od G15 Advanced Edition. Ovo je direktna borba top hardvera AMD vs. Intel+Nvidia od strane istog proizvođača (Asus) i ovaj rezultat najbolje demonstrira koliko je AMD daleko dogurao sa svojom mobilnom platformom.

Ponovno bliski rezultat u Time Spyu za dvije najmoćnije mobilne grafičke kartice, no Radeonka je ipak kapitulirala u RayTracing testu – ovdje Nvidia ipak ima prednost od jedne cijele generacije.

S obzirom na to da je ovaj ekran više rezolucije nego kod G15 AE nemamo u svim naslovima direktnu usporedbu između RTX 3080 i RX 6800M no u onom jednom u kojem imamo (Horizon Zero Dawn) ipak vidimo nadmoć Nvidijine kartice. U ostalim je testovima RTX 3080 pokazala da je dovoljno brza, a tek bi u Borderlandsu 3 možda trebalo spustiti rezoluciju za još bolji framerate.

U Cinebenchu su Core i9-11900H i AMD-ov Ryzen 9 5900HX gotovo pa izjednačeni, s malom prednošću za Intel. U Blenderu je situacija obrnuta, a u wPrimeu ponovno Intel vodi. To nam govori da su oba sličnih performansi i podjednako sposobni za teže zadaće. Ipak, za Intelov je procesor bilo potrebno naprednije hlađenje kako bi moga boostati češće na visokom taktu.

Autonomija nije sjajna i tu je G15 Advanced Edition pokazao znatno bolji menadžment energijom. Jasno, razlika je u veličini ekrana i rezoluciji no svejedno, rezultat all AMD laptopa je i dalje impresivan. No, ni skoro 6 sati sa Zephyrusom nije za odbaciti.
Zagrijavanje, buka i taktovi
Kao i uvijek, testiramo s maksimalnim performansama rashladnog sustava kako bi utvrdili najbolje performanse koje prijenosnik može dati. Maksimalni boost takt procesora u ovom prijenosniku je oko 4,79 GHz uz maksimalnu temperaturu od 94°C prije nego nastupi spuštanje takta na oko konstantnih 4,6 GHz pod opterećenjem pri čemu se temperatura zadržava na oko 87°C (no i to ovisi o tipu opterećenja). Pri tom rashladni sustav proizvodi maksimalnih 47 dB(A) buke (ljepše nam je uspjela fotografija s malo manjom vrijednosti). To je dosta čujno, no ništa što dobre slušalice ne mogu eliminirati. S druge strane, zahvaljujući mehanizmu koji podiže tipkovnicu ona se ne zagrijava previše. Sve u svemu, prijenosnik ima odlično riješeno hlađenje i te iz moćnog hardvera izvlači visoke i konzistentne performanse.
