Intel i dalje demonstrira visoke gaming performanse čak i s procesorom koji nije u vrhu ponude. Relativno visoki radni taktovi od preko 4,0 GHz zaslužni su za izvlačenje maksimalnih performansi iz grafike. Naravno, razlike nisu velike i drastične  i jedini procesor koji je stvarno u deficitu je Ryzen 3 3100, no on je i puno jeftiniji.

U odnosu na i7-8700K s memorijske performanse tu negdje, s tim da i5-10500 ima niže vrijeme pristupa memoriji što je vrlo bitno.

U usporedbi s AMD-ovim procesorima na višoj frekvenciji memorije pokazuje nadmoć u zapisu i ponovno u vrlo niskom vremenu pristupa gdje potpuno deklasira Ryzene.

Potrošnja sistema je niska zbog načina na koji se ponaša kontrola frekvencije ovoga procesora. Pod opterećenjem all core turbo kreće s oko 4,2 GHz, da bi vrlo brzo pao na 3,7 pa na 3,5 i na kraju se zadržavao između 3,3 i 3,4 GHz u dugotrajnom radu. Kao što smo napisali, tweakanjem se može dobiti dugotrajni boost takt od oko 4,1 GHz no to ne uzimamo kao mjerilo, jer to prosječan korisnik neće raditi. Samo za usporedbu, tada potrošnja raste na 150W.

S obzirom na nizak radni takt pod dugotrajnim opterećenjem ni zagrijavanje nije visoko, pa je zapravo D15 overkill za ovaj procesor. Maksimum na jednoj jezgri je bio 68°C, a prosjek maksimuma na svima 66.8°C. Ipak, prosječna temperatura u dugotrajnom se radu kreće na oko 55°C.
