U PCMark testu koji predstavlja uobičajeno korištenje računala su performanse dva nova AMD-ova procesora jako dobre i pariraju puno skupljim Intelima. Očekivano, 8-jezgreni model je nešto brži.

Performanse procesora su solidne, no nisu pretjerano oduševile. Nekako nam je premali rast u odnosu na prethodnike.

Blenderov prvi test već donosi opipljiviju razliku između 9700X i 7700X procesora, kao i 9600X te 7600X procesora. U prvom slučaju je to 12,4 %, a u drugom oko 15%.

U kompleksnijem Gooseberry testu nemamo za usporedbu stariji model 6-jezgrenog procesora, a 8-jezgreni je postigao 4,4% bolji rezultat.

Stariji Cinebench pokazuje rast performansi za 9700X u odnosu na 7700X za oko 5,5%, a kod 9600X u odnosu na 7600X je porast za oko 5,4%.

U noviji Cinebench tek trebamo dodati više procesora, no zanimljivo je vidjeti da 9700X ima malo bolje 1T performanse od 9600X procesora.

Zanimljivo, no ovdje je 9600X čak mrvicu sporiji od 7600X, dok je 9700X ipak malo brži od 7700X (oko 4,34%).

Oba procesora donose jako lijepi porast performansi u odnosu na prethodnike. 8-jezgreni za 10,%, a 6-jezgreni za 8,7%.

Ono što nas sve najviše zanima je IPC (instructions per clock) porast za Zen 5 u odnosu na Zen 4. Ovdje smo oba procesora zaključali na množitelj 40x pa su logično radili na 4,0 GHz pri čemu možemo jasno vidjeti porast IPC-a. Ispada da je u provedenim testovima s 1T mjerenjem (Cinebench 23 i 24) prosječan porast iznosio 8,77% što je sasvim solidan generacijski skok. nT testovi u prosjeku pokazuju skok od 8,56%, s tim da prosjek znatno ruši Corona benchmark koji je zabilježio porast od samo 2,3%.
