Vrlo dobro povećanje takta overclockingom je donijelo odličan porast performansi, ali i određenu premoć u odnosu na Nitro karticu.

Već smo utvrdili kako R9 380 kartice troše dosta iznad R9 285 modela, a sada vidimo i kako je Asusov model dosta rastrošniji od Sapphireovog. Svemu ovome je naravno kriv tvornički overclocking. Potrošnja prilikom CFX-a nije u grafu, no maksimalno je iznosila čak 647 W.

Overclocking i želja za zadržavanjem niske buke na ovoj kartici su donijeli veliko zagrijavanje Tonga čipa pa je tako maksimalna zabilježena temperatura u GPU-Z logu iznosila čak 78°C u Gaming modu. u OC modu se ventilator nešto drugačije ponaša pa je i temperatura nešto malo niža, a buka nešto viša. No i dalje je to dosta iznad Nitro modela.
