Prva generacija Threadrippera kao i druga po defaultu radi u UMA (distributed) načinu rada memorijskog kontrolera, a u Ryzen Masteru se može uključiti i NUMA (local) način rada, koji snižava latencije i ubrzava propusnost što se preporučuje kod aplikacija koje koriste manje threadova poput igara. Razlike u UMA i NUMA načinima rada su jasno vidljive na grafu.

2990WX s druge strane, kao što smo ranije napisali, je content creation procesor i radi isključivo u UMA ili distributed načinu rada memorijskog kontrolera. Ipak, iznenadilo nas je što je brzina pristupa, tj. latencija jednaka kao kod 2990WX procesora u NUMA načinu rada, dok je propusnost jasno dosta slabija.

2950X troši manje i od 1950X i od 1920X što je vrlo pohvalno i znak kako je 12 nm proces stvarno donio bolje performanse za nižu potrošnju. S druge strane, 2990WX pod opterećenjem troši 36 W više od 1950X što je također pohvalno, kada znamo o kakvoj je mrcini riječ.

Sva tri procesora imaju offset Tctl temperaturu koja je 27°C viša od Tdie temperature pa su stoga one usporedive. 2990WX se očekivano najviše zagrijava, no to i nije puno više od 1920X.
